Why gamblers should ALWAYS book hotel rooms directly when visiting Las Vegas

Top Tip: Always book your Las Vegas Hotel Room
directly from the resort

If you're a gambler and are planning a trip to Las Vegas it's more than a little tempting to scour the internet for travel specials on sites like booking.com, hunt down a tailored flight and accommodation package on Expedia, or to reserve your hotel room through a third party site like Groupon in order to get the best possible deal. After all, you want to have as much cash available to fund your gambling and entertainment while you're in Vegas...right?

Wrong! If you're a gambler it's NEVER a good idea to pre-book your hotel as sites like those mentioned above often buy bulk rooms out from the hotels and therefore expect full payment before you arrive and this means that you'll lose your chance to have your room comped if you end up booking and paying beforehand.

This means that if a casino decides that you're eligible for RFB (Room, Food and Beverage) and you haven't booked directly with the hotel, the host will not be able to comp your room and you'll end up just getting free Food and Beverages instead.

You may be under the impression that in order to even qualify for RFB you'd have to be on the casino's loyalty radar already or that you'd have to spend or win a huge sum of money to qualify and automatically discard the notion that you could ever have your room comped, but this is simply untrue.

As we've mentioned in our other articles, casino comps are awarded based on your total gaming turnover, regardless of whether you win or lose, so it's possible that if you play wisely you could end up getting more on the house than you anticipate.

So always ensure that you book your hotel directly as a comped hotel room is worth WAY more than saving a few dollars by pre-booking and paying before you arrive.
